Best care you can find (in my opinion) in the greater Seattle area. Bar none. The nurses are the kindest, sweetest and sharp as they come. And the physicians really are the very best around here. Shoutout to Chief of Medicine and Neurologist/Director of the VM Multiple Sclerosis Centre, Dr. Mariko Kita.
Highly recommend Virginia Mason. I visited a walk-in care location. All staff was personable, professional and facility was clean. I had an issue with my BCBS insurance and the VM billing department was very friendly, thorough and understanding with my issue.
I had brain surgery in 2010 and another one 6 months later and I had thee best surgeons and nurses anyone could ask for, they basically saved my life and I will for ever be thankful and grateful to them all❤️❤️❤️❤️
From the first step entering the buck building i was greeted by a wonderful registration lady, Val. She needs a kudos for keeping her smiling face and warm welcome to all the patients. As i headed up to the pain clinic section i was greeted by another wonderful lady. So as i sit and wait for needles to be poked thru my back my anxiety was thru the roof. I have had this same procedure years ago and it didnt go so well. It was in michigan.... As i sit and wait dr. Rolls came in... to read my hx and also to make sure i was ok. Dr. Strodtbeck also came in to introduce himself. They both were absolutely amazing professional men i have ever met ! Then i met my nurse, rachel, who was even more amazing. She made sure to touch me to let me know she is there if i needed anything. I have ran healthcare facilities in my career and know the struggle to find the right staff. These four people were what everyone should be like in healthcare. Not sure if cloning is legal yet but these 4 should be first in line..... Please extend my kudos to all of them, they have no idea how awesome they really are because they are doing what they love....... Please mention them however you and recognize them for me, please..... Michaele (shelly) rioux. Dob 10.23.70, phone 509.379.4619. Date of procedure 9.7.18 at 2pm thank you again ...... Have a wonderful week .....[Full review]
My partner and I just spent three hours in the emergency room on Capitol Hill and were told that since he wasn’t “the sickest” , he had to sit and wait in pain. A previous patient who had come in smiling and was impatient for about twenty minutes approached the desk and was soon given a room. This was a total lack of empathy and straight up rudeness by the nurse at the front desk for the midnight shift on July 18th 2018. To top it off he stated, “he wasn’t going to sit here and argue with us”. Such a poor representation of what I had thought would be a much more caring facility. My partner and I left. He was unseen, untreated, and placed last on priority. Again, not what I was expecting from a hospital whom prides itself on caring for a diverse community.
